December E+DAY

Last year Ry and I started a tradition of purchasing toys for a program offered in our community called Project Joy. Trees are placed around town with tags listing items kiddos would like for Christmas. Many of you probably have a similar program.

As we were wrapping up last year’s gifts, I was about to throw away the tags when Ry took them and placed them on our Christmas tree. He wanted us to keep them from year to year and put them on the tree to serve as a reminder of all the kiddos that need love and support. To remind us of why we give and the important role it plays in our lives and those on the receiving end. We’re excited to add three tags this year, as we want our baby to be, to be a part of this tradition before they’re even here.

There so many ways to encourage others during Christmas. Would you be intentional  make it a priority this year? It can come in many forms: words, gifts, time, prayer, etc. There’s still time!

What are some of your favorite holiday giving traditions?
